ORLANDO, Fla. - Expect another round of heat on Thursday, but slightly cooler and showers will not be as widespread as yesterday.
Highs will be in the low-to-mid 80s inland with upper 70s along the coast. The heat index or feels like temperatures will easily head into the 90s. Sunshine is expected early with clouds increasing by early afternoon.

There is about two and a half weeks until the start of the Atlantic hurricane season.
ORLANDO, Fla. - The 2021 Atlantic Hurricane Season is just around the corner and now is the time to prepare.
As part of Hurricane Preparedness Week, which runs from May 9 to 15, meteorologists are encouraging East Central Floridians to replenish their hurricane supplies. You don t want to be trapped in the middle of a long line, suddenly what you needed is not available and you really needed that medication, or you needed water, food for your family, Krizia Negron said, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Melbourne.
Storm risk rises for parts of Florida on Wednesday

ORLANDO, Fla. - Expect yet another broiler of a day across Central Florida with the risk of storms expanding in Central Florida. There is a Severe Thunderstorm Watch up for the western Florida Panhandle until 2 p.m.
Hot highs in the solid lower 90s inland will combine with high humidity levels. The heat index or Feels like temperatures will easily head into the mid-upper 90s. Sunshine is expected early with clouds increasing by early afternoon.
Rain chances will be rising mainly after 2 p.m., building up to a 50 percent coverage by mid-late afternoon.
